Partnership Members Assist Spitzer Transition Team

Governor-elect Eliot Spitzer has appointed former Partnership Co-Chair, Richard Parsons, Chairman and Chief Executive of Time Warner Inc., and member Rossana Rosado, Publisher and CEO of El Diario/La Prensa, to serve as a Co-Chairs of his Transition Team.

In addition, Partnership members who are involved in the Transition include: Kenneth Chenault, Chairman & CEO, American Express, who will serve as the Co-Chair of the Economic Development policy team; Lee Sander, Senior Vice President, DMJM+Harris, who will serve as the Co-Chair of the Transportation policy team; Preeta Bansal, Partner, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom; Samara Barend, Manager of Policy and Government Affairs, STV, Inc.; Richard Beattie, Chairman, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett; Robert Catell, Chairman & CEO, KeySpan; Roberta Karp, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs & General Counsel, Liz Claiborne, Inc.; Donald Marron, Chairman & CEO, Lightyear Capital; Janette Sadik-Khan, Senior Vice President, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc.; Stanley Shuman, Managing Director, Allen & Co.; Sonia Toledo, Managing Director, Merrill Lynch; Mark Willis, Executive Vice President, Community Development Group, JPMorgan Chase & Co.; Deborah Wright, Carver Bancorp; Michael Stocker, Former President & CEO, WellPoint East Region; and John Zuccotti, Chairman, Brookfield Financial Properties. Earlier this week, the Partnership’s Legislative Policy Committee, chaired by Steven Rattner, Managing Principal, Quadrangle Group LLC, met with Transition Co-Chair Elizabeth Moore and David Nocenti, Counsel to the Governor-Elect, to discuss the incoming administration’s legislative priorities.
